Which are the best products to buy?
Which product you should buy is entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong answer. All of our bullion and coin products are from well-respected Government mints or reputable institutions. In general, we recommend investors buy the most liquid items — commonly bought and sold — that also have low premiums above the spot price and tight spreads between the buy and sell price.
Do I have to pay tax on my investment in bullion?
Tax treatment varies by state and order size. Please contact us directly or consult a tax professional for guidance specific to your situation.
Is there a charge to ship items to me?
Yes, there are shipping charges associated with sending you your bullion. The price depends upon the total value and weight of the package. 95% of our packages ship for between $15–$40. Expedited shipping is also available for an additional fee. Shipping charges cover our costs of packing, shipping, and insuring your bullion.
How long does it take to receive my order?
We ship usually within 1–2 business days of receiving cleared funds for in-stock items. Wire transfers received after 12 noon will be deemed received the next business day. Your product typically arrives within 1–7 days after shipment.
What is your Market Loss Policy?
Once you receive a confirmation that an order is live, the price is locked in and the transaction may not be cancelled — only offset at our current ask price. Any deficit between the confirmed price and the offsetting price, plus a $35.00 cancellation fee, is your responsibility. Any market gain on cancellations remains the property of Reliable Coins.
How do you ship my bullion?
We ship using a carrier of our choice, always insured and with signature required. Packages are not covered by insurance if you have instructed a carrier to leave parcels unattended, deliver to a neighbor, or use a third-party drop-off location. A signature is required upon delivery. For large orders, we can discuss alternative delivery arrangements including armored vehicle delivery.
When can you lock in my price?
For in-stock items, your price is locked when you place the order, guaranteed by credit card. Payment must be received within 1 business day or the order will be cancelled. For items not in stock, the price is not locked until payment is received, so a small discrepancy may occur. Any overpayment will be refunded alongside your metals. Reliable Coins reserves the right to cancel orders at any time but normally only does so when payment is not received.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cashier's checks, wire transfers, personal checks, and cash. We do not accept cash in excess of $10,000. Cashier's and personal checks can be dropped off at our location, mailed to us, or direct deposited. We strongly recommend wire transfers for orders over $10,000 as there is no holding period. Orders using checks are held until cleared, which typically takes 3–17 days.
